On Monday, Jan. 29 at 2:33 a.m., police received a report that Veracity Stone Fabricators at 23 Daniel Rd. E, was being used to house and disassemble stolen cars, police said.
The evidence would be removed before 6 a.m., a caller told police, providing evidence of the disassembled vehicles, police said.
Police responded and found a stripped down 2016 blue Honda CRV that had been reported stolen from New York City last month, officers said. During their on-site police investigation, a suspicious Honda Ridgeline came to the property twice, police said. Police said they detained three occupants and arrested one, Hector Ramirez-Alfaro, a 29-year-old Ridgewood resident, for possession of suspected cocaine.
Officers discovered a second chopped up vehicle which was reported stolen from New York City on Friday, Jan. 5, police said. Two other vehicles had their VIN number defaced and concealed, respectively, police said.
Police later arrested Edison Cuevas, a 37-year-old Yonkers resident and charged him with two counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle, one count of operating a facility for the sale of stolen automobile parts and a single count of conspiracy to operate a facility for the sale of stolen automobile parts.
